Portrait Session! Joey Briggs

Another Monday! Are you sensing a theme here? I made a goal for myself to blog every Monday, we'll see how long it lasts, I'm almost out of things to blog, which means I'll have to pick up my camera and shoot again! Oh darn. :)

Joey Briggs! Well I had an interesting mini session with this mini adult. Yes, the best term for him is mini adult. He talks, acts and carries himself so much like an adult I forgot for a moment who I was photographing. This boy is not your average middle school boy, he has a plan for his future, he knows what he likes, and he is wicked smaht. He out chatted me in history (those of you who don't know me, that's very easy), he outsmarted me in Army talk (those of you who don't know me that is also relatively easy) and he went over my head when we discussed guns several times (I swear, it's the numbers, I'm just not good with numbers).

I have known Joey since before he could walk, I can't say I was shocked to see what a natural he was in front of the camera (I mean look at his sister), but it is always a weight off my shoulders when people can be themselves in front of the lens. Thank you again, Shelly & (big) Joe for hiring me to take these photos, I really can't wait for the family photo session!

And obviously because I am obsessed with puppy photos, I took a few of their dog Brooklyn. She is FULL of energy, but so so sweet, with the funniest personality!

I really feel so lucky to not only have photography, a great love in my life, but to also have the best clients, who are not just my clients but friends and as I wrote a few weeks back "framily". You guys are the best! Especially this Briggs Family! xoxo
